What a day at Rice University on November 9th, 2021. I spent most of the day at an engineering conference, then stopped by Tudor Fieldhouse to watch the Rice women’s basketball team slam St. Edwards.

Domination, that is about the only way to describe it. I never felt once that Rice would lose. St. Edwards is a Division 2, scholarship program; however, the game looked like an exhibition match where a rinky-ding team is brought in so that varsity can practice and beat up on them. Nevertheless, Rice is looking pretty good, so I expect more of the same as the season goes on.

Take a look at this boxscore. Rice never really lost control of this game.
Team | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | F |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
St. Edward’s | 4 | 12 | 20 | 5 | 41 |
Rice | 23 | 23 | 17 | 21 | 84 |

The Rice Women’s Basketball team is pretty good, historically. Looks like it is going to be a great year. More pictures below.
