Press Release From NAPE Summit: One expo for all energy sources, NAPE Summit welcomes renewables

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – May 6, 2021 –Broadening its dealmaking approach, NAPE is opening its expo floor to all energy sources and associated innovations with the debut of the Renewable Energy Pavilion at the 2021 NAPE Summit in August.

“As oil and gas companies are rapidly diversifying their portfolios to include renewable energy sources, NAPE is launching a Renewable Energy Pavilion to create a space specifically dedicated to making renewable energy deals happen,” said Ron Munn, CPL/ESA, general manager of land at Chevron U.S.A. Inc. and chairman of the NAPE Operators Committee. “This will be the perfect venue for oil and gas as well as alternative energy executives, decision-makers and capital providers to meet to discuss exciting new opportunities.”

“NAPE is famous for its unrivaled marketplace for dealmaking,” said Le’Ann Callihan, director of NAPE. “Adding renewable energy sources to our oil and gas offerings makes NAPE the ultimate venue for energy deals — traditional and new-century — as we expand our scope and reach to become a broad and inclusive energy expo.”

NAPE Summit returns in person to the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston Aug. 18-20 and virtually on the NAPE Network Aug. 9 through Sept. 3. Its new Renewable Energy Pavilion creates a dedicated platform for sponsors, exhibitors and attendees who are working in — or interested in learning more about — this growing sector of the industry.

When the NAPE expo floor opens on Thursday, Aug. 19, exhibitors in the REP will also be open for business with renewables prospects and supporting services. In addition, the REP will host timely education sessions covering finance and investment, market trends and technology innovations. Speakers include Mike Sloan, chief strategy officer at Synergetic, Alok Garg, head and managing director, renewables and asset finance at Wells Fargo Bank and Emily Reichert, Ph.D. of Greentown Labs. On Friday, renewables and sustainable energy experts will be on hand at a special networking brunch inside the REP to answer questions and network, giving NAPE attendees direct access to energy professionals who have made the transition from oil and gas to renewables — or who work in both areas. As a bonus, renewable prospects will also be available on the virtual NAPE Network platform with filter and search capabilities.

The Renewable Energy Pavilion is sponsored by AES Clean Energy. Early exhibitor commitments include Vanguard Real Estate Solutions, CIT, LandGate, ForeFront Power, Renewable Energy Alliance Houston, Crimsolar, Wheelhouse Land & Field Services, LLC, Wise Asset No. 10, Ltd. and the American Association of Professional Landmen with expectations of more commitments in the coming months.

“Whether face to face or online, NAPE attracts major investors, new concepts and unique opportunities in energy whether you are talking oil, gas, solar, wind or even batteries. The NAPE audience embraces ingenuity, and NAPE Summit will be the ideal gateway for exploring outside-the-box ideas,” Callihan said.

“Our goal is to bring players from all energy sources together to do business, create jobs and spark the economy during tough times. We are adding new opportunities to the NAPE energy mix with one goal in mind: Help buyers, sellers and investors make deals happen.”
