COVID-19 In Texas, May 5, 2020

Here is a graph that I found on the internet.  The last data point is May 4, 2020.

Something does not look right about this graph.  COVID-19 is a variation of the flu and these numbers are not following any reasonable pattern, not even the numbers from China.  There is some talk on the news that the statistics are being inflated.  Looking at this graph, it appears that our rate has been going horizontally since mid-April.  Weird.  Below, is a graph of the infection rates for a normal flu.
