The Energy Marketing Conference ended last night with a big party at the Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown.  During the day, the conference was filled with exhibitions, workshops, and presentations.  I learned the importance of sales management software, market intelligence, and customer purchase verification though a third party.

The keynote address was presented that morning by Jim Steffes, EVP of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs for Direct Energy.  He has ample experience in the regulatory field, working for many big firms in the business.  Jim holds a Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. He and his family reside in Houston, Texas.

The Energy Marketing Conference is a semi-annual event.  The next meeting is in NYC later this year and will return to Houston next spring, 2020.  Please visit their website for more information.
