Federal judge Reed O’Connor, Fort Worth, Texas, struck down Obamacare and said that it is unconstitutional on December 14th, 2018.  The ruling is a result of a lawsuit led by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.  In a statement to the New York Times Paxton says, “Our lawsuit seeks to effectively repeal Obamacare, which will give President Trump and Congress the opportunity to replace the failed social experiment with a plan that ensures Texans and all Americans will again have greater choice about what health coverage they need and who will be their doctor.”

Here is where I get nervous.  Paxton states, “replace” Obamacare?  If I remember correctly, President Trump won his presidential election based on his promise to repeal Obamacare, not replace it.  If Trump simply replaces Obamacare with Trumpcare, then it is simply Obamacare II.  I liked things the way they were before Obamacare – no federal interference at all.  We do not need a second failed social experiment.
