The Smart Pumper Exhibits at the ISA Process Control and Safety Symposium

I visited with Kevin Boyles, VP Business Development, The Smart Pumper at the ISA Process Control and Safety Symposium this week, in Houston.  He explained to me how The Smart Pumper is revolutionizing the oilfield with regards to pumping, operating, and monitoring.

Kevin’s firm actually builds everything from scratch.  They buy all the parts as required for the application at hand:  positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps, diaphragm pumps, fixed speed, variable frequency drive, etc.  The company then puts it all on a skid in their own shop.  The software used to manage the pumping systems is even custom built.  They have programmers on hand to modify all the inputs, outputs, and interfaces as required.  Remote or local control and monitoring can be done with computer, laptop, and hand held device; all via the cloud.
