The Houston Section of the International Society of Automation held a networking mixer on June 21, 2018. The event is held at the Derrick Tavern, on Eldridge. Drinks and appetizers are sponsored by Vector Controls.
There was a fine selection of beverages including liquor, wine, and beer. Nice food too including sandwiches and salads. At 5pm, the featured band started playing. Song list is composed mostly of hits from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. They had a nice sound.
Vector Controls also had an exhibition. Vector is a manufacturer’s representative. Customer service appears to be their focus. They told me that they can set up offices at engineering or production locations to help smooth out the difficulties in properly specifying instruments on engineering data sheets.
So, a pretty nice evening. ISA was giving out free 1 year memberships at this event. In the future, they plan to have a wine tasting mixer as well. So check them out: http://www.houstonisa.org/
